The Williamsburg Historical Society met on Tuesday evening, Sept. 12, to update the board of directors with some new information.

Secretary Peggy Mingle read off the minutes from the June meeting, which saw the following officers appointed: Marge Troxell, president; Cathy Over, vice president; Peggy Mingle, secretary; and Lugene Shelly, treasurer.

Over announced that the group was finally approved for its 501(c)(3) designation, officially making it a non-profit.

Treasurer Lugene Shelly gave her report, noting that the group has a checking account at PennCrest Bank, Williamsburg.
