Cove Community Theater Performs 'Escape the Haunted Mansion'

Cove Community Theater performed “Escape The Haunted Mansion” for the first time on Friday, Sept. 29.

The play was written and directed by Fallon Smith. She came up with the idea the brought it to life at Breezewood Volunteer Fire Company.

Lord Shaw Hornsby’s body was found face down in his bedroom. Police had a hard time doing their investigation because of the spirits in the manor.

The audience was summoned by a crystal ball with the face of Madame Leona.

There are 10 suspects, all have stayed or visited the Haunted Mansion in recent weeks. This is an interactive play with means the audience is pulled into helping to find who murdered Lord Hornsby.

Over 60 folks in attendance worked together to find the clues to open locked boxes of other clues on their table.

To open the boxes, the audience needed to pay attention to songs such as “Come Little Children” from the film “Hocus Pocus” for clues.

Food was provided by DND Farms, The Nutrition Group, Woodbury Café and Lisa Becker Bakery.
