Dragons Top Bearcats to Remain Undefeated

The Central Scarlet Dragon Football team traveled to face the Huntingdon Bearcats for week six of the regular season. Despite a slow opening to the game, the Dragons finished ahead with a 34-21 victory.

After a scoreless first quarter, the Dragons had possession of the ball in order to take an early lead with a seven-yard touchdown run by Hunter Smith. With a mere 30 seconds left before halftime, the Dragons had another scoring drive ending with an 18-yard reception by Kyle Klotz for a 13-0 halftime score.

The Dragons opened the second half with a scoring drive with a 25-yard run by Eli Muthler before giving up a touchdown to their opponents. Klotz had another 10-yard touchdown reception to end out the third quarter before scoring with an eight-yard run to open the fourth. The Bearcats had two more scores on deep passes, but it wasn’t enough to overtake the Dragons in the end.

Muthler had 310 passing yards throughout the night, while the entirety of the Dragons rushed for 131 yards. Baron Dionis had nine receptions for 124 yards for the Dragons as well. Bumping their record to 6-0, the Dragons now prepare to face the Penns Valley Rams in the upcoming week.
