Northern Bedford Looking into New Signage

Maintenance Supervisor Jared Mellott explained a recent issue in the domestic water pumps, which concerned parents about the safety of the school drinking water. At the monthly Northern Bedford County School District Board of Directors meeting, Mellott explained that recently water pump one became inoperable then pump two tripped out. The pump was leaking back to the reservoir. Mellott said pump one needs to be replaced at a cost of $5,000 to $6,000 due to pressure issues. Pump two, he said, is currently operating.
