Homer DeLattre was the special teams captain when he played football at Lock Haven University, so it warmed his heart when years and years ago he saw his son, Caden, picking up innately where his old man left off.

“In the backyard, we’d be playing catch,” the elder DeLattre said with a chuckle. “The next thing you know, he’s turned around, snapping it between his legs.”

Special teams isn’t just all in the family now that DeLattre is a high school head coach. His Hollidaysburg Golden Tigers take that aspect of the game very seriously.
