Five hundred persons attended the dedication ceremony at the new Homewood Retirement Center in Martinsburg. The dining room of the new home for the aged served as the auditorium with overflow in the corridors, visitors’ lounge, conference room and residents’ rooms.

The Northern Bedford football team wrapped up its best year ever with a 7-6 victory over Tussey Mountain.
