Altoona held its annual Veterans Day Parade on Saturday, Nov. 11. Two marching bands in Blair County participate in this parade: Central High School and Altoona High School.

Members of the Hollidaysburg Veterans' Home came out in two van loads for the parade. One said this was the highlight of the year. Better than Christmas, he said, because the veterans do not leave the home for Christmas.

The Central Marching Band performed at Central's District 6 Championship game the night before and suited up once again for this parade the next morning.
