President makes a Proclamation

In his Thanksgiving day proclamation, President Calvin Coolidge urged people to “gather in their homes, and their usual places of worship, give expression to the gratitude for the benefits and blessings that a gracious Providence has bestowed upon them, and seek the guidance of Almighty God that they may deserve a continuance of his favor.”
On Monday, Penn Central men connected the home of I. B. Kensinger of Fredericksburg and the school House in Fredericksburg with the electric light line.
