Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus will be in Roaring Spring this Thursday evening at 6:30 o’clock, and Santa will distribute free gifts to all the children. Borough businesses will be open until 9 p.m. WVAM will air the community carol sing sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce on Wednesday Dec 22 between 8 and 9 p.m.

Members of the Martinsburg Booster Association and their ladies are looking forward with a great deal of expectancy to the annual “Ladies Night” which promises to be, in keeping with the tradition of past years, the most brilliant occasion of the booster social year. The traditional turkey dinner will be served in the Community Hall at the Morrisons Cove Community Park.

Joseph Wineland of Martinsburg, bass soloist, will be the featured guest on the WVAM Hayride program broadcast from the Morrisons Cove Memorial Park. He will sing “Bells of the Sea” and “Old Man River”. The broadcast will air from 9-10 on Saturday night, and will be followed by a square dance.
