Polar Express a Huge Hit

The Polar Express, a 4D movie experience, was held on Saturday, Dec. 7 to Dec. 9 at the Bistro Restaurant in Martinsburg.

This has not been done for three years. The price remained the same and the actors, dancers, and elves were extraordinary.

Before the movie experience began, children dressed in pajamas enjoyed popcorn and a short film on a young boy dreaming. A live actor acted this scene out also and the children’s attention could not have been better. When snowflakes came down, they giggled with excitement and joy.

Next the conductor came through to the audience calling all aboard and wanted to see the golden ticket everyone had been given so he could stamp it.

After everyone was seated, the 4D movie began with dancers, elves, Santa, the conductor, and a ghost all circulating around the room at their appropriate time.

The list of names of naughty or nice were hung and each child excitedly went to look to find their name.

Dishes of marshmallows were set on the table and hot chocolate was served as well as punch, water or tea. A complete turkey dinner was served to all.

Before the end of the show Santa dressed in a cowboy hat came out and danced with the dancers. It was quite a sight.

If you missed this awesome show perhaps you will be able to catch it next year. The staff, food and all performers were outstanding.
