Church Service Disruptor 'Getting Help He Needs'

Local police departments gave an update on an individual who was disrupting services in churches in the Cove and a few others in the area.

Chief Kerry Hoover of the Martinsburg Police Department said that the departmeint is not releasing the man’s name, but said the man causing the disruptions was having medical or mental health problems.

“The incident has been addressed and there is no further threat,” Chief Hoover said.

Hoover said Sunday patrols have been added as a precaution in Martinsburg Borough and Huston Township and police are working with churches to provide safety tips.
