Juanita Rose Smith

On Feb. 13, 2024, Juanita Rose “Nita” Smith passed away quietly in her own home, surrounded by loved ones and five very contented cats.

Nita spent 36 years behind the deli counter in Williamsburg; greeting everyone with “Hi Sweetie-pie” and handing out smiles, cookies, food, and well wishes to everyone she met.

She is survived by her two daughters: Terry Lynn Wagner and Melanie Rose Rutledge; and four grandchildren: Helen Wagner, Cady Smith, James Wagner, and Keegan Smith.
