Celebration at Airport

A celebration marking the opening of passenger air service at the Blair County Airport by All-American Airways was being planned for Sunday, March 20. Several DC-3 24-passenger planes were to be parked at the airport for the public to inspect. The Air National Guard Unit of Johnstown was scheduled to fly over and perform a stunt show.

The Farmers State Bank of Woodbury marked its 25th anniversary March 4 as a state bank. The bank with current reserves of $852,000, was organized in 1908 as a private bank under the name Woodbury Bank.
