The Cove area received between 14 and 24 inches of snow during a hard-driving storm that raged for about 12 hours on March 14. The storm struck a relatively small region that included Bedford and Somerset counties and northern Maryland.

Cove Shoe Co. received the Governor’s Award for Environmental Excellence.
