Atty. Gerald S. Turner of Martinsburg, who had served as solicitor for Martinsburg borough for 23 years and was active in civic affairs, died May 4, 1974, at the age of 63.

Atty. Albert W. Johnson of Roaring Spring, long-time solicitor for Roaring Spring borough announced his plans to resign from the position in order to cut back on his work commitments.

The Greenfield Township Municipal Authority was the recipient of a $122,600 grants from the Environmental Protection Agency for earlier work to construct its sewage treatment plant.
