Army Nurse Named ‘Queen’

Ethel Brumbaugh of Martinsburg, who served in the Army Nurse Corps during World War II, was chosen by audience applause as “Queen of the Hour” in a benefit show by the Martinsburg Business and Professional Women’s Club. Prizes valued at $300 were distributed to the queen and others in the audience. Profit from the show was earmarked to buy eyeglasses for underprivileged children in the community.
