Woodbury Welcomes Harclerode Back

For the last several months, Woodbury Township had been without three men sitting at the helm as Supervisors.

This followed the resignation of Craig Hamilton at the beginning of the year, and then Ed Clark’s resignation as he moved to becoming the new Roadmaster.

After letters of interest, Chairman Joe Lansberry made a motion to appoint Paul Harclerode as the new Supervisor with Rich Eastep seconding, motion passed.

Harclerode had previously served as Supervisor a few years ago, and that’s one of the reasons Lansberry said he took front and center in the letters.

“I just felt like he would be a good fit,” Lansberry said.

Next on the agenda were stone bids, paving bids and sealcoat bids.

Rich Eastep made a motion to advertise stone bids with Harclerode seconding, motion passed.

The township announced that they were looking at four projects for this upcoming summer – Mocks Bridge, Locust Lane, Brumbaugh Road and Troxell Road.

Harclerode made a motion to advertise bids to be opened at the June meeting with Eastep seconding, motion passed.

He also made a motion to purchase shirts and sweatshirts for township employees – five shirts and two sweatshirts, with Eastep seconding, motion passed.

Discussion was held on whether to implement a dress code for township workers and if there was anything in writing as to whether a dress code ever existed for the Township. Solicitor Aimee Willett said she would investigate the matter.

The supervisors announced they would be meeting with Cove Forge officials in the upcoming weeks to get an update on Cove Forge projects and its timelines.
