Capitalists Prospect for Gold

Some big capitalists of Pittsburgh and Greensburg were in the vicinity of Bakers Summit leasing farms. They expected to prospect for gold and silver.

There was much public criticism of the Roaring Spring School Board for setting such an early date as Aug. 28 for the opening of school.

Prof. I.D. Metzger of New Enterprise spent a week at Chautauqua, N.Y.

The Sylvan Ganister Co. and the Blair Limestone Co. were the names of the two latest combinations of capital that were contributing to the industrial boom along the Williamsburg branch railroad.
