Man Brightens the Town

Proprietor C.W. D’Ford erected a row of U.S. Flags on the side-walk in front of his theater and installed electric lights on the building front. One large light atop the flag pole gave brilliance to N. Market Street, adding to the much-to-be-desired street lighting.
On account of the sale of the Cove Cooperative Company not materializing, the company was still doing business with dairy feed, grain and coal sales at Curryville.
The postal department urged car owners to order their 1925 license tags early to avoid a delay in delivery by Jan. 1 deadline....
