Martinsburg’s public display of colored lights, as the “Square” and on the large evergreen in the “Triangle,” gave the town a bright, holiday atmosphere this week. Outdoor displays are expected to appear in front of many homes before Christmas.

W.U. Skyles, cashier of the Morrisons Cove Bank, today completes a period of 50 years service in that position.

The annual Children’s Christmas Party at the Martinsburg Community Library this year will feature a play under the direction of Library Story Teller Mrs. Ralph Dougherty.
