A 39-Year Journey to Achieving a Dream of a Degree

"It is never too late to go back to school, never too late to follow your dreams no matter how old you are," Lesly Miller-Jacobs, Patient Advocate and Community Liaison at Conemaugh Nason Medical Center said.

At 57, Miller-Jacobs is about to complete a nearly four-decade-long journey to earn her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Her classes officially end on December 13, and she will graduate on December 21.

"I didn't think going back to school would make me a better nurse knowledge-wise," she said. "However, it has made me more well-rounded."
