Roaring Spring

Doris Jane Grace

Doris Jane Grace, 89, of Roaring Spring, passed away on Tuesday, July 21, 2020, as she lived her life, gently and without complaint.

Her physical challenges began with difficulty walking and difficulty with speech and became no walking or speech. Yet, there was a beauty within her you always felt – her smile and infectious laughter. She was always ready for a funny joke, a movie, a cup of coffee, or Mamie's doughnuts. She overcame her life's difficulties by her positive attitude, great sense of humor, and joys she shared with us.

Doris was born on Nov. 7, 1930, in Roaring Spring and spent her early years in the loving care of her parents, Doyle and Hazel (Rooney) Grace, and sister, Lois.

She is survived by her sister, Lois Snowberger and husband Dennis of Endicott, N.Y .; a nephew, Daniel Snowberger of Binghamton, N.Y .; and a niece, Debra Droubay and husband Anthony of Murphys, Calif.

The family extends appreciation and love and thanks to Skills of Central PA, who worked together for excellent care and protection with affection.

Special thanks to the house staff, Kindred Hospice, North Star, Bare Memorial Church of God, Dr. Donahue and Dr. Dilling.

We shed tears of sadness that she is gone and we smile that she lived.

Due to COVID-19 limitations, there will be no viewing or service.

Friends and family were welcome to pay respects at a time of final remembrance on Saturday, July 25, at the Todd T. Thompson Funeral Home Inc.,, Roaring Spring.

Burial was made in Greenlawn Cemetery, Roaring Spring.

Contributions in Doris' memory may be given to the Bare Memorial Church of God, 508 E. Main St., Roaring Spring, PA 16673.
