    The Bulldog Winter Battle volleyball league concluded its second week of matches on Sunday night. Claysburg’s first opponent of the evening was Juniata Valley. The Lady Bulldogs maintained a narrow lead for their first two sets. Claysburg won by two for the first set, with 25-23 as the final score. Per the league’s rules, by reaching 27 points, the Lady Bulldogs won their second set, 27-26, as Juniata Valley trailed behind.     The Claysburg Bulldog Girls’ Volleyball team kicked off the Bulldog Winter Battle league on Sunday. Four teams are participating in the league, including Juniata Valley, Huntingdon, Northern Bedford, and Claysburg Kimmel. The league will unfold over five weeks and conclude in March when a series of playoff games will determine a final winner.     On Wednesday night, the Claysburg Lady Bulldogs defeated the Mount Union Trojans 41-37. Despite being down a starter, the Bulldogs still started off strong going into the first and second quarters, and at halftime, Claysburg had a solid 14-point lead as the Trojans lagged behind.     C-K Junior High Basketball On Wednesday, the Claysburg Kimmel Junior High boys' basketball team faced off against the West Branch Warriors.
