A Cold Day For Hunting

Herald of Dec. 4, 1969

Wintry winds and subfreezing temperatures failed to dull the ardor of hundreds of deer hunters as the season opened Monday with a heavy harvest of bucks in the Cove region. The first two days of the buck season also were free of hunting accidents, but two men died of heart attacks in the Blue Knob region.

The Roaring Spring Borough Council in tentatively approving its 1970 budget Monday night announced that no increases in tax rates are planned.
