Herald of Aug. 17, 2020

A small plane was missing and feared crashed in the Williamsburg area. According to North Woodbury Township Police Chief Terry Dellinger, the plane disappeared from the Blair County Airport’s radar screen at 1:48 a.m. Wednesday. The last position of the twin-engine Cessna 310 placed it approximately 12 miles north-northeast of the airport, within a five-mile radius of Williamsburg. The plane’s flight plan showed two persons on board when it took off from Carlisle bound for Detroit.

It was Roger Stock Day at the Blair County Junior Livestock Round-up held Aug. 14 and 15 at Morrisons Cove Memorial Park. Roger won both grand champion hog and grand champion steer honors.

The Spring Cove School Board named Edward Barton, assistant principal at the Spring Cove Middle School, to be principal at the East Freedom Elementary School.

Nicole Over of Woodbury showed the grand champion market hog at the Bedford County Fair with her 261-pound pig named “Abby.”
