Sealed proposals will be received by the Martinsburg Municipal Authority of Blair County, Pennsylvania at the Authority office located at 110 South Walnut Street, Martinsburg, Pennsylvania 16662 until 11:00 AM prevailing time on April 1, 2021 for:
CONTRACT NO. 21-S1 EAST CHRISTIANA STREET SANITARY SEWER REPLACEMENT
The scope of work includes the complete installation of approximately 1,050 linear feet of 8-inch diameter parallel gravity sanitary sewer, disinfection and conversion of the existing sewer to underdrain, and appurtenances such as manholes, wye connections, service sewer, sight tees, state roadway and all necessary appurtenances and restoration for said construction.
All work shall be constructed according to the Contract Drawings and Specifications which are on file at the office of the Owner and Lennon, Smith, Souleret Engineering, Inc., 846 Fourth Avenue, Coraopolis, Pennsylvania 15108-1522. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud approximately at 11:00 AM on April 1, 2021 at the Authority Office located at 110 South Walnut Street, Martinsburg, Pennsylvania 16662.
Bid Documents are being distributed by F. L. Haus Company, 921 Ridge Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15212. All bidders are required to buy the full set of drawings and specifications for a non-refundable deposit of $100.00 from F. L. Haus Company at http://www.flhausplanroom.com. No bid bond shall be waived or returned because the Bidder has failed to or cannot comply with any requirements as set forth in the plans, specifications, or any applicable statutes of the State of Pennsylvania or any applicable municipal ordinances.
The Authority reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive any informalities in the bidding. No bid may be withdrawn for ninety (90) calendar days after the scheduled time for receipt of bids.
Attention is directed to the fact that procurement is subject to all requirements of the Pennsylvania “Steel Products Procurement Act, Act No. 1978-3”; and for Contract value exceeding $25,000, the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act (Act of 1961 P.L. 987), and The Public Works Employment Verification Act (July 2012) apply.

SALE OF STEEL STRUCTURE WILLIAMSBURG BOROUGH
Sealed bids will be received by the Borough of Williamsburg for the sale of a steel structure located along Canal Street (SR 866) and described as follows: INDUSTRIAL PAVILION FRAME STRUCTURE CONSISTING OF LARGE STEEL FRAMES AND BEAMS WITH A METAL ROOF; MEASUREMENTS ARE 106 FEET IN LENGTH AND 92 FEET 6 INCHES IN WIDTH. THE HEIGHT OF THE SIDES ARE 12 FEET WITH AN APPROXIMATE MEASUREMENT OF 18 FEET IN THE CENTER
Bids will be received at the Williamsburg Borough Municipal Building located at 305 E. 2nd St., Williamsburg, PA 16693 until 3:30 pm on April 5, 2021. Bids received after this time will not be accepted. Bids will be opened and awarded the same evening at the same location at 7 pm during the Borough Council regular monthly meeting.
Bidders must submit an original bid form with a certified bank check in an amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid amount in a sealed envelope clearly marked “Bid for Purchase of Structure” with bidder’s name and address. ELECTRONIC SUBMISSIONS ARE NOT PERMITTED. Any omissions, alterations, additions or deductions not called for, conditional or uninvited alternative bids, failure to include certified bank check, or irregularities of any kind, shall be cause for rejection of bid. No responsibility shall be attached to any Borough representative for premature opening of a bid not properly addressed and identified.
The purchase requirements and bid form may be obtained by contacting the Borough at 814-832-2051. No bid under $10,000.00 will be accepted.
The Council reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informality, omissions, defects or irregularities in the bids, and to accept and award any sale which, in its judgment, is for the best interest of the Borough. If a bid is to be awarded, it will be awarded to the highest responsive and responsible Bidder.
