CLAYSBURG-KIMMEL SCHOOL DISTRICT Attention: Food Service Management Company. The Claysburg-Kimmel School District is requesting proposals for school food service management services. The Food Service Management Company will provide management services according to United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) regulations and guidelines, as well as the Pennsylvania Department of Education policies and guidelines. Please see for details. Food Service Management Companies and/or their representatives may submit proposals to: Claysburg-Kimmel School District c/o Michelle Smithmyer, Business Manager 531 Bedford Street Claysburg PA 16625 The Claysburg-Kimmel School District Board of Education reserves the right to accept or reject any and/or all proposals or to accept the proposal that it finds, in its sole discretion, to be in the best interest of the school district. A walk-through meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at 3:00 pm, at the Claysburg-Kimmel Jr-Sr High School Building, District Administration Board Room, 531 Bedford Street, Claysburg, PA 16625. All proposals must be submitted no later than Friday, March 25, 2022, noon. All proposals should be delivered in a sealed envelope and addressed to the Claysburg-Kimmel School District and be clearly marked: Food Service Management Proposal.

Sealed proposals will be received by the Martinsburg Municipal Authority of Blair County, Pennsylvania at the Authority office located at 110 South Walnut Street, Martinsburg, Pennsylvania 16662 until 4:00 PM prevailing time on March 17, 2022 for:


The scope of work includes the installation of approximately 650 linear feet of 6-inch PVC waterline, one hydrant assembly, two connections to the existing potable water system, approximately 13 service connections, and all necessary appurtenances and restoration for said construction.

All work shall be constructed according to the Contract Drawings and Specifications which are on file at the office of the Owner and Lennon, Smith, Souleret Engineering, Inc., 846 Fourth Avenue, Coraopolis, Pennsylvania 15108-1522. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud approximately at 7:00 PM on March 17, 2022 at the Authority Office.

Bid Documents are being distributed by F. L. Haus Company, 921 Ridge Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15212. All bidders are required to buy the full set of drawings and specifications for a non-refundable deposit of $100.00 from F. L. Pennsylvania prevailing wage rates apply. Proposals must be upon the forms furnished by the Authority. The bid must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid, made payable to the Authority to guarantee the bidder’s entrance into the contract if given the award. No bid bond shall be waived or returned because the Bidder has failed to or cannot comply with any requirements as set forth in the plans, specifications, or any applicable statutes of the State of Pennsylvania or any applicable municipal ordinances.

The Authority reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive any informalities in the bidding. No bid may be withdrawn for ninety (90) calendar days after the scheduled time for receipt of bids.

Attention is directed to the fact that procurement is subject to all requirements of the Pennsylvania “Steel Products Procurement Act, Act No. 1978-3”; and for Contract value exceeding $25,000, the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act (Act of 1961 P.L. 987), and The Public Works Employment Verification Act (July 2012) apply.

The Authority shall (a) award the construction contract to the lowest responsible bidder therefore, or (b) reject all bids received within ninety (90) days of the date of bid opening; provided, however, that the Authority may, in its sole discretion, delay such award or rejection for up to one hundred twenty (120) days from the bid opening date until the Authority has received all required approvals from other governmental agencies.

Bidders on this work will be required to comply with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
