Joyce Paden, library director at the Martinsburg Community Library, announced she was retiring on June 30. Paden began working at the library 40 years earlier as the assistant to Mary Creps. In 1978, when Creps retired, Paden became the library director. Her first big assignment was coordinating the move of the library from three rooms on the second story of the old borough building to the current location at Morrisons Cove Memorial Park.
