Board of Health in School

Representatives of the state Board of Health met in the Woodbury school building for three days last week where they inoculated adults and children for the prevention of diphtheria.

Work was being completed on the new playground equipment before the first picnic of the season. The workers of the Altoona Silk mill were scheduled to have a picnic on July 11.

North Woodbury Grange No.1923, P. of H. will hold a basket picnic in Loose’s grove at Henrietta on Wednesday, July 4. All patrons and friends are invited to the outing.

Mrs. George Garner had a very severe attack of indigestion on Sunday afternoon.

Gov. Gifford Pinchot signed the McBride boxing commission bill. The bill, modeled after the New York state commission law, provides for a commission of three members and provides for inspectors and the licensing of clubs, fighters and attendants.
