Storms Strike Blair County

Severe electrical storms struck Blair County after midnight on Friday. In Martinsburg at least one radio was reported ruined by lightning, and other electrical equipment was damaged in the area. A downpour flooded lowlands, and lightning struck a tree on the Cyrus Furry farm in New Enterprise. Two heifers were killed by lightning in a pasture in Bakers Summit.
