Metzlers Travel to Maryland

Paul Franklin Eshelman, young New Enterprise father, was killed and Burgess C. Guy Barley, veteran Martinsburg auctioneer, was seriously injured when their automobiles collided head-on near Bakers Summit. Apparently one of the cars went off the berm and swerved into the other, but there were no witnesses to the crash.

The Cove Farm Bureau Cooperative Association opened a warehouse and bulk plant in Tyrone. The warehouse would serve farmers in the Sinking Valley, Warriors Mark and Tyrone areas.
