Nason Hospital announced it was opening a family physician’s office near the Meadows Intersection in Hollidaysburg. Dr. Paul J. Wilkins, who was in a practice with Donald W. Bulger, in Claysburg, was expected to take over the Hollidaysburg office.

Construction began on the new McDonald’s Restaurant in Roaring Spring. The owners hoped to have the restaurant open between Dec.15 and Jan. 1.
