Meeting

A meeting of the Blair County Sanitary Administrative Committee will be held Tuesday, October 24th at 7pm. Location: 225 Bedford Street, Hollidaysburg PA 16648.

Accepting Applications

The Huston Township Supervisors are accepting applications for a 20 hour per week, part-time position. Applicant must have a valid driver’s license (no DUI’s), a CDL is not required, be at least 21 years of age, have some knowledge in operating and maintaining small equipment, and be able to interact well with the general public. Township residency is not required. Applications will be accepted at the township office on Tuesdays from 8:00 am – 12:00 pm and on Wednesdays from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm. Legal Notice

Notice hereby is given that the Board of Supervisors of Woodbury Township, Blair County will consider for adoption amendments to the Subdivision and Land Development Ordinance at the Regular meeting on November 2, 2023, at 7:00 pm, or another public meeting as permitted by statute. The amendments proposed to be made to the Ordinance include removing the Stormwater Management and Erosion and Sedimentation Control details due to the stand-alone ordinances for Stormwater Management (Ordinance 2023 #98) and Erosion and Sedimentation Control (Ordinance 2023 #97), correcting typographical and formatting errors, revising certain definitions to include the definition of land development, and revisions to the articles on Relief from Requirements and Administration and Enforcement. The amendments further include renumbering of certain articles, sections and subsections. Article V, Sections 509 and 511 include the revisions to stormwater and erosion and sedimentation control, Article II includes the revisions to certain definitions, and Articles I, XI and XII include the revisions to relief from administration and administration and enforcement. A public hearing was previously held as is required by the Municipalities Planning Code. The meeting will be held at 6385 Clover Creek Road, Williamsburg, PA. The full text of the proposed amended Ordinance is available for public inspection by appointment by calling Kelsie Lego, Township Secretary (814-832-2296) to arrange for a time to examine the proposed Ordinance during regular office hours, Monday-Wednesday.

Time Change

The North Woodbury Township Supervisors have changed the time of their November 2nd, 2023 regularly scheduled meeting from 6 p.m. to 10 a.m. Also, they have changed the date and time of the December Meeting. The December Meeting is changed from December 7th, 2023 at 6 p.m. to December 4th, 2023 at 5 p.m. at the Township office, located at 113 Cranberry Road, Martinsburg, PA 16662. NORTH WOODBURY TOWNSHIP SUPERVISORS

Public Hearing

The Roaring Spring Borough Zoning Hearing Board will hold a public hearing on Monday, October 30, 2023, at 1:00 p.m.

Hearing will be held in the Roaring Spring Borough building 616 Spang Street, Roaring Spring, PA 16673. The Board will consider an application for a Variance from John Morgret of 418 Barley Street, Roaring Spring. The Variance Hearing is to approve John Morgret to build an accessory use shed being constructed above 15 feet maximum height, for an additional 6 feet in height.

Proposals

Sealed proposals will be received by the Woodbury Township of Blair County at 6385 Clover Creek Road, Williamsburg, PA 16693 until 7 p.m. on November 2, 2023, for the following items:

Item 1, 6-wheel dump w/10’ plow, asher & operator as needed

Item 2, 10 wheel dump w/10’ Commercial Plow, asher & operator as needed

Above items of equipment to be complete with operator, fuel, insurance and hauling cost to and within the township.

Township makes no guarantee any or all hours for any items will be utilized during the contract period.

Note: The Township will not be responsible for and will not pay for any “downtime”. Also, MUST be within 10 miles of the Township.
