    A Duncansville man is dead after a stand-off with police led to gunfire. Jacob W. Curry, 47, was killed after Bedford State Police were called to a home on the 200 block of Burket Drive, Bloomfield Township, Bedford County, just after 4 p.m. on Oct. 17 for a welfare check on a male.
