Rotary Williamsburg 'Students' Named

The Rotary “Students of the Month” at Williamsburg High School have been announced for April and May.

Paige Gunnett was April’s “Student of the Month.” She is the daughter of Ryan and Gretchen Gunnett.

Paige’s school honors/accomplishments include Homecoming queen.

Her school activities include marching band, concert band, softball, volleyball, track and field, Student Council vice president, Creative Compassions, Prom Committee, Homecoming Court and National Honor Society treasurer.

Her community activities include the CMA youth group.

Paige plans to attend Indiana University of Pennsylvania to major in social studies education.

Kassidy McChessney was named May’s “Student of the Month.” She is the daughter of Ryan and Stephanie McChessney.

Kassidy’s school honors/accomplishments include the National Honor Society, the National Technical Honor Society at the Greater Altoona Career & Technology Center, senior of the year at the GACTC and the Allison B. Edwards Scholarship (basketball).

Her school activities include varsity cheerleading, varsity basketball, GACTC cosmetology and Aevidum.

Her community activities include church choir and camp counselor.

Kassidy plans to attend Penn State Altoona for business. She plans to open her own salon one day.

The Rotary “Students of the Month” program at Williamsburg High School is sponsored by the Morrisons Cove Rotary Club. All students are seniors.
