Claysburg Christmas In The Park This Weekend

The Holiday Season begins this Saturday, Nov. 18, at the Claysburg Community Park.

The festivities begin with the arrival of Santa and Mrs. Claus. This year, due to the bridge on Bedford Street being under construction, the parade will start on Bedford Street at McCabe Trucking and continue to Community Park Road.

Santa and his workers are scheduled for visits with children immediately following the parade until approximately 4:45 p.m. Children may also leave a letter for Santa.

The park will be filled with food, crafts, children singing carols and games. Children may enjoy a Candy Cane Scavenger Hunt new to this year's agenda. Put on your Ugliest Christmas Sweater. Prizes will be given at 4:15 p.m.

The climax of the event will be the lighting of the park decorations and Christmas cards after Santa's departure.
